Hi, you have plenty of memory there for an upgrade 2G is enough. How many systems are you upgrading? You can automate XR upgrades with CSM Server if you wish, more information:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/12747091/cisco-software-manager-v32-now-cco

Regards

Eddie.

THanks , i don't know how many systems i need to upgrade , i just need last version and stable , what you  recommended ?

another question do u have guide how upgrade from 5.1.3 TO 5.3.3 IN  CSM ???

can i run CSM 3.2 server on windows or mac ? just version 2 is work on windows .

Thanks for help

5.3.3 plus the latest SMUs are your best approach after 5.1.3. Upgrade instructions for all releases are found here:

http://www.cisco.com/web/Cisco_IOS_XR_Software/index.html

Have the person who will download 5.3.3 + SMUs also download CSM so you can install it and automate upgrades, its just one click and you upgrade.

Regards

Eddie.

Thanks for your time

Last guide this

ASR9000_Upgrade_Procedure from 4.0.x or 4.1.x or 4.2.x to 5.3.3

There is no guide from 5.1.3 to 5.3.3

i trayed to download CSM last version 3.2 it is not work with Windows or MAC just linex , can i upgrade from CLI ?

The guide covers 5.1.3, installing software is simple in XR. Just close your eyes and do:

admin# install add ftp://ip-address/software/ active

regards

Eddie.

is not simple :)

Has anyone else encountered fpga revision issues in this process?  I had some hardware in the lab (rarely touched), that I needed to upgrade to 5.2.4, then upgrade all the fpga, before I could get to 5.3.3.

Hi Evan,

The FPGA matrix is pretty broad, so you should be good with upgrading to 5.3.3 without issues.
