Hello All,
Is it possible to run the "A99-12x100GE-CM" on ASR 9010, I know that it is meant for A99K Chassis hence the name A99-12x100GE-CM, still am just wondering if it is possible or not? even if it meant getting like only 8 x 100G out of it, since it would help protect our future investment.

You mentioned "ASR9010" chassis instead of "ASR9910".
No, ASR9010 is not compatible with A99-12x100GE-CM Line Card.
According to the data sheet (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/routers/asr-9000-series-aggregation-services-routers/datasheet-c78-737623.html), the ASR 9000 Series 12-port 100-GE line cards are fully compatible with the ASR 9904 Router, ASR 9910 Router, ASR 9912 Router, and ASR 9922 Router. ASR9010 and ASR9910 are different hardware architecture generations.

A99- cards are supported only in ASR99xx chassis. Any attempt to push an A99- card into an ASR90xx chassis may result in a damage to the line card.
Even with RSP880 in ASR9010 there wouldn't be enough bandwidth per slot to make use of the 12x 100G ports on A99-12X100GE line card.
Can you please point us to the specific section of the document you quoted? I can't find there the statement that "A99-12X100GE-CM" Line card is supported by all the ASR 9000 series. If there is such a statement, we'll correct the error.

Thank you so much for your kind reply, true the ASR99K routers are of different hardware architecture, how about this document where it mentions that "A99-12X100GE-CM" Line card is supported by all the ASR 9000 series.

Thank you so much for your kind reply, good to know. As for the document, it says on Page 17, the first page of chapter one:
The following table lists the Cisco ASR 9000 Series Ethernet line cards and MPAs (Modular Port Adapters) and their corresponding Cisco product identification numbers (PIDs). The line cards and MPAs are supported on all Cisco ASR 9000 Series Routers including the Cisco ASR 9004 Router, Cisco ASR 9006 Router, Cisco ASR 9010 Router, Cisco ASR 9912 Router, and Cisco ASR 9922 Router.
And then it goes on Table 2: Cisco ASR 9000 Series Ethernet Line Cards to list all the Line Cards and MPAs supported, and on Page 17, Page 3 on Chapter One, the "A99-12X100GE-CM" Line Card is listed.
I know the name is obvious, hence the A99, still it is a bit confusing which line card is supported on which chassis, it would've been better if it was broken down by Chassis instead.
