i forgot...it is ASR 9912

which release?

6.1.4

And you have the following configured in SNMP?

snmp-server traps entity-state switchover

snmp-server traps entity-redundancy all

snmp-server traps entity-redundancy status

snap-server traps entity-redundancy switchover

Eddie.

Hi Eddie,

first of all thank you for your kindly reply.

For sure i enabled all the traps you wrote down.

I think, but not sure, manual switchover does not trigger this trap

Regards

A manual RSP/RP FO with the "redundancy switchover" command should trigger this. Do you have a route to your NMS at all times and its available right after the FO happens on the new active RP/RSP?

If so you probably want to have this looked at further and with these commands:

debug snmp general

debug snmp trap

debug snmp mis rfmib

Clear log

redundancy switchover

Log back in after the RP FO

sh snmp traps

sh snmp traps details

sh snmp trace traps

sh logging

Regards
Eddie.
