Cisco Software Manager issues from IOS XR 7.3.2 onwards

Hi Folks -

We have been using CSM for a while now to assist us with code upgrades on our NCS platforms. However the tool no longer pulls down the main image from CCO from IOS XR 7.3.2 onwards. It pulls down all SMU information perfectly fine, but the system image no longer gets populated.

I have checked other software version across all NCS platforms and the pattern repeats, affecting both 7.4.x and 7.5.x.

Anything 7.3.1 and below works perfectly fine.

I have tried emailing cs-software-manager@cisco.com but get an email undelivered bounce back, suggesting that the mailbox is no longer active.

Has anyone else experienced this issue ? Is there a work around I need to implement ?

The CSM server is on the latest update and has been rebooted.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Chris, I am also having the same issue with version 7.3.2. I also sent an email to cs-software-manager@cisco.com for support and received the "unknown address error 550" bounce back message as well. I was searching for a way to import code into the server, but it doesn't appear to have that option. Hopefully someone can resolve this issue asap, because we have about 40 NCS5500 series routers to upgrade and would like to push Cisco's recommended, MD release.

Glad to hear I am not the only one affected, and points to a bug rather than a localized issue.

We have 28 x NCS5500 (all variants) and over 50 x NCS540, and have built our upgrade processes around CSM, so really need to this resolving.

Just by way of an update, my Cisco account team have told me that this is a known issue and that there is no confirmed roadmap to fix this. The only work around right now is to manually add the software to the CSM repo

The code was manually added to the server and we were able to successfully deploy and test it from CSM. It's an extra step, but it still saves time when you are deploying the code to multiple NCS devices.
