Hi,

i'm trying to study the rollback procedure from 7.3.2(ASR9910) and i planned not to commit the last version in this way if we need to Rollback the downtime could be reduced, the problem is that doesn't work, i tried the RSP switchover, reload all, and when the router comes up is always with the active version.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Maria

Hi Maria,

if you were to add a SMU for example in 732, it would show in "show install active summary"

however if you had not committed, "show install committed" would not show the smu

you should be able to rollback with just a router reload if the "show install committed" is different from the "show install active summary"

Thank you

You can install the new ios in 1 RSP active. ( Take off RSP standby )

In the case need rollback to old IOS, take off the RSP active and insert RSP standby back to box
The router will come up with the IOS old ( the IOS on the RSP standby card)
