CMP Ports on ASR9904

Hallo everyone,

I'm just getting familiar with our new ASR 9904 devices.

I'm wondering how to setup the onboard CMP interfaces on the RSPs. Coming from N7k, I expect these ports to be connected to some kind of integrated terminal server module. The little documentation I could find within ASR System Management Configuration Guide is terrible meaningless, not giving any hint on how to set it up.

Could anyone give me some input or point me to a more toroughly documentation?

Hope the link Phil sent helps, its basically to simulate console over ip, so the CMP port would be connected to an ethernet switch.

that's what I figured out, yet I'd like to know how to actually use this port. Is there any way to set up an IP-address?

No, you can't configure the ip, see the Zero Configuration Networking section, it's automatic.
