hi every body ...I'm looking for a solution to divide ASR 9010 to 2 seprate and independant router ..I chose to deploy sdr for this perpose....but when I creat a new none owner sdr and add a new location  to this sdr I face this message that :

location 0/0/*
!!% LRd encountered an error in the attempted config.: You have already configured the maximum number of Service Domain Routers.
!

so my question is ....creating new sdr needs a licence or asr 9k doesn't support it at all....and is there any similar solution that meet my need

thanks in advance

As Tarun mentioned ASR9K doesn't support SDRs, what it supports is the opposite, clustering or multichassis in the form of nv edge / cluster. However we have moved away from that feature since 5.3.4.

CRS, XR12K, and NCS6K all support multi-SDRs / carving out a router. CRS and NCS6K also support multichassis either B2B or with a fabric chassis and line card chassis system.

Out of curiosity why do you need multiple SDRs?

Its a very rarely used feature even on the platforms that do support it.
