Hi all
I am about to install Cisco license on my ASR9006 running IOS XR 7.1.1. The license instruction states that we need to go to admin mode and then issue the license add. However the command does not exist and the only argument for license command is the smart (license smart).
I was wondering if there is a solution to this issue?

IOS-XR 7 is 64bit, once you move to 64bit, the traditional licenses of "license add" do not apply.
we moved to a smart licensing model.

Yes, it does.
you either have to allow the device to connect to tools.cisco.com or have a "satellite server" that is allowed to connect to the internet.
this satellite can act as an aggregate for licensing all your cisco devices that use smart licensing
