Im currently having this issue with IOS XRV

Im trying to create a bridge domain

l2vpn
bridge group 1
bridge-domain VLAN101
interface GigabitEthernet0/0/0/1.101
!
routed interface BVI101
!
!
!

but I cant establish isis adjacency

My understanding is that anything related to l2vpn is working only in control plane so no data including ISIS IIHs won’t be transported across the bridge-domain.

The error message is specific to XRv. Look up CSCuj54585 and CSCuh05191.

You can use now XRv9000 (Sunstone) instead of XRv. It's a much more advanced platform. On top of the control plane services it also provides data-plane. You can find more info at http://wwwin.cisco.com/c/cec/organizations/development/org/sp/sp-routing/ios-xrv-series.html.

I have been trying this for too long :( finally got the time to get back at it.

wondering if you can provide the link again it looks like the one provided does not go anywhere.

I downloaded a version from the following link but still got the same error.

XRv is a control-plane-only platform, without data-plane. As a consequence XRv cannot support L2 features like HSRP. This is why I have suggested XRv9000 instead. XRv9000 comprises a control-plane and data-plane component.

Indeed I'm using version XRV9000  6.1.2. more specific Cisco IOS XRV 9000 software, NonVRR profile.

also I try to configure an BVI interface and im getting the following error

I'm glad to see that you have switched successfully from XRv to XRv9000.

L2VPN services are on the roadmap for the XRv9000, but they are not available yet in any shipping release. Please work with your account team to confirm when will the specific features you require be available.
