Oh, one more possibility:

CSCty66867

this happens when there are more then 128 files in the tar.

Hi Giovanni,

I have seen this process crashing during upgrades when the tar file is corrupt (reverify the md5 of the downloaded one vs what is shown on cco to make sure contents havent changed).

another one is when there was lack of diskspace. If you have RSP2's that could be likely, make sure you run the command "run repart -d" to repartition the disk0/1 to reclaim the reserved 300M space.

or see if there is anything that can be uninstalled/tossed from the disk to free up some more space.

the final reason I know is that if you have an RSP2 and you install the px (intel version) of the smu.

cheers

Ah sorry, I know one more reason that you want to look into:

disk space on the bootflash. The bootflash is barely large enough to contain the 2 bootloaders. I am quite sure that one of the smu's from the pack will provide a new MBI which wants to go on bootflash also.

So try and see if that may be the case and uninstall a smu that occupies the bootflash space but is not running active.

Thank you very very much ...

I verify as soon as possible and i'll kreep you in touch !!

Thanks again !!

Great !!!

We removed all .txt from .tar and successfully installed SMU !!!

Thank you very  very much
