Using IXIA to generate Micro burst traffic

Hello Guys,

I am going to do a QoS testing for my customer.

Below is my test scenario.

To trigger a Micro-Burst on an 10G interface of ASR9006 running 4.2.3, our team is going to use IXIA to generate the traffic with the interval of μsec.

My customer want to use shaping to manage the traffic, I'd like to know how to generate a Micro-burst traffic using IXIA .

which software are you using with IXIA. is it IxNetwork or IxExplorer?

you can do that in both of them. When you configure the frame options, there is an option to specify size, In that there are multiple options to set bursty traffic, traffic in incrementing or decrementing sequence, etc.

I am going to use IxNetwork to do the test and sorry for my poor knowledge background. i am confused about how to adjust the frame size and frame rate to trigger a micro burst traffic using IxNetwork.

My topology attached. I'd like to know how to adjust the parameter (frame size/rate/timer) on Te2/3,Te2/4,Te2/5,T2/6 which will be the Tx ports and Gi1/11 will be the Rx port. it will be very helpful to tell how to calculate the parameter correctly.
