[vsm stuck on bringdown]

Hello, Everyone:

I'm trying to get a brand new VSM to boot. First time I installed it (by that I mean, just inserted it into an ASR9k with XR5.1.2), immediately went IOS XR RUN. At that point I had the service (only) PIE active. When I added and activated the service-infra PIE, the VSM rebooted itself as soon as PIE was active and it has stayed in BRINGDOWN state ever since. I've reloaded the slot several times to no avail. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks,

c.

Dear Mr. Carlos,

I'm trying to install the VSM card to ASR9912, but we faced a similar issue.

1. First time,we use version 5.2.2, the State show BRINGDOWN.

2. And then we are upgrade the IOS to version 6.2.3, but the State still show

3. We are change IOS to version 5.3.3, but the state show PRESENT.

Could you let me know if your problem is solved? If solved, can you let me know how to solve it.

Thanks very much!
