You've spoken, and we heard you! We have great news!
We will be restructuring the Wireless-Mobility category by moving and relabeling content, as well as combining the discussion boards into a single board. Our intention is to streamline the navigation to make it more logical and to help you find resources and answers more efficiently. We have worked with Cisco's BUs to put the plan together. In a nutshell, we are combining the 3 discussion boards into one.
Below is a visual of the mapping of the boards:
What You Can Expect:
- The transition will start on Sunday, November 15 at around 7:00 PM PST time.
- This is expected to be completed by Wednesday, November 18 at around 5:00 AM PST.
- There is no expected downtime on the community. However, the community will be in Read-Only Mode from Sunday night to Monday midnight PST time while the move content script is running.
- Once the content is moved, there will be a second script running that will relabel content. There will be visible changes with number of posts on each of the boards in Wireless. Also, you might temporarily see more boards. However, this won't affect your experience, and you'll be able to post your questions as usual during the relabeling effort.
- Redirects of the content that is moved are going to be automatically created, so that if you are subscribed to posts, boards, or you've bookmarked content, we expect you will be able to locate it.
- To avoid spam and filling your inboxes with unnecessary emails, email and web notifications will be turned off across the community while the movement and relabeling of content is in progress. The reason is that when content is updated, an email notification is sent to subscribers (we've learned from previous experiences!). We expect to turn the notifications on by Wednesday, November 18 5:00 AM PST.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us at cisco-community@external.cisco.com.
Thank you for those who provided feedback, like Leo Laohoo, Rasika Nayanajith, Scott Fella, Daniel Ordonez and many others - we greatly appreciate it! Also, thank you for your patience while we enhance the Wireless community experience for all of you!
