I know by default Jabber client will use Nickname as the contact's display name however my customer does not like it. Is there a way we can update the jabber config file to use AD's "Firstname (givenName)" followed by "Lastname (sn)? I could not merge these two values into one parameter so far. Plz help.
thank you,
Robin

Hi Robin,
You can change the attribute mapping via jabber-config.xml file e.g. you can set the value of "Nickname" attribute to "displayName". Check the links below for similar posts.

Hello Maqsood,
Perhaps I did not explain clear enough in my query. What I want to achieve is to combine two values into one parameters. I know that we can change the attribute for a parameter but how to use two values (first AND last name) into the Nickname attribute. Thanks

Hi Robin,
Unless someone can suggest otherwise, It is not possible to combine two parameters into one.
Thanks,
