User are experiencing a problem trying to add contacts in Jabber for Windows. (V11.5.2)
If they try to add a contract from their address book, they get a message saying:
"The system cannot currently add the contacts. Try again later or contact your system administrator."
The user can, however, add contacts from the directory fine.
Any suggestions?

Hi Gordon,
To add local Microsoft Outlook contacts to contact lists in the client, local contacts must have instant message addresses in Microsoft Outlook. You can even try adding bogus entries like sip:abc@cisco.com.

I can understand that. But surely Jabber shouldn't give a permission denied if the contact has no IM address...?

I agree, but this error has been reported multiple times in TAC and the fix is to add the IM address.

I added an IM address in the contact, but it still does the same thing?
