Cannot place call

Hi,

I have installed jabber, and a lot is working fine.

The weird part is that I can not make calls with the softphone, I don't have a keypad!

If I right click or double click a contact it only gives me the chat options.

If someone calls my jabber client, I can answer the call! and I can speak clear.

If I have a missed call I can double click the missed call and the call succeeds, I talk from the softphone to another CUPS client or a normal IP phone.

This is weird, Personal communicator 8.6 works perfectly.

Any idea?

Hi Jh,

Few things. There is no dialpad in Jabber. To call someone you simply type the number in the search window.

Are you configured for softphone or deskphone mode?

When you right click is the call option greyed out?

Thank you for your response.

In the search bar I can type the number and the jabber client calls.

Only when I right click a contact I don't see a dial option, nothing, only a chat option.

In the right bottom corner I can switch between softphone and hardphone.

When I select softphone, the CSF device gets registered.

I am sure it must be something simple, when I use personal communicator 8.6 with the same credentials, it works perfectly.

I shall double check the configuration again.

It would be useful to send a screenshot to see what you are seeing.

Also what's the build version that you are using? Help -> About Cisco Jabber.

Apparently I have to create a XML file with some configuration.

Think this is the problem.
