Hi
We have Expressway-C & E version 8.5.1 and Jabber client 10.6.2
CUCM version is 10.5
FAC over Expressway-C & E is not working.
For windows, I get beep sound while calling out and nothing happens after entering FAC code.
Any suggestion, how to make FAC to work over Expressway-C & E (VPN less Jabber)
Rgds

Hi Rajesh,
This is currently not supported, there is an enhancement open to track this
https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCur54666/?reffering_site=dumpcr
Symptom:
Currently Jabber does not support Forced Authorization Codes (FAC).
This enhancement is a request for Jabber to support Forced Authorization Codes (FAC) when Jabber is being used as a Mobile & Remote Access Client.
Also, check the following
https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCug51288/?reffering_site=dumpcr
Forced Access Code support in Jabber
Symptom:
Enhancement to have Forced Access Code support in Jabber

Hi Rajesh,
I have the similar issue with you, but my issue is on jabber for iphone. My jabber on iphone can't use FAC when it register through Expressway C & E (Jabber MRA), everytime if i make a call using FAC, the calls always disconnected.
Cisco stated clearly that it is a bug and currently not supported (like Manish's post), but i have workaround to make the call using FAC. This works for me, and i hope it also works for you.
Workaround:
When you want to make a call using FAC, you dial the access code + destination number, then followed by # and your FAC. For example: your access code is 9, your destination number is 123456789, your FAC code is 5555, then you should make the call using this method: 9123456789#5555. the call should proceed.
For the route pattern, maybe you should add route pattern that contains # at the end of the string (if you don't have it), to tell the call manager that # is end of digit and then digit behind # is for FAC.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Even
