Here's the doc;
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/11_8/cjab_b_feature-configuration-cisco-jabber118/cjab_b_feature-configuration-cisco-jabber118_chapter_010.html
Depending on which version of Cisco Jabber you have, most likely, you have a few extra hidden emoticons located under the following locations and you didn't even know it;
For 32-bit operating systems:
- Program Files\Cisco Systems\Cisco Jabber\Emoticons or CustomEmoticons
For 64-bit operating systems:
- Program Files(x86)\Cisco Systems\Cisco Jabber\Emoticons or CustomEmoticons
Now, if you want to create or upload custom emoticons, you can do so but make sure you follow this doc. The .png files must be a certain format and size. You could modify the default emoticons for all users -or- users have the option to create an xml file called 'emoticonDefs.xml'. This file should be stored on the user's H: Drive, somewhere under the %Cisco/UnifiedCommunications/Jabber/CSF/CustomEmoticons folder.
The custom emoticons defined within the 'emoticonDefs.xml' file takes priority over the default emoticons installed by Cisco Jabber; meaning, if you have a custom emotion called 'Smile.png' then your custom png would take precedence over the default Smile.png emotion.
Therefore, you could create a custom 'emoticonDefs.xml' template and create/save new emoticons to the same location I mentioned above. Then, you can simply ask your Desktop Support Team to provision the xml and png files to users.
Good Luck!!!
