Hi, does anyone know if it's possible to desktop share in Jabber outside our company network?
We can desktop share without issue within our network but as soon as a user is working from home, or we test on our external internet connection here at the office, desktop sharing stops working. I can offer a session, and the recipient can accept, but after a brief delay a "Failed to join share" error appears:
IM continues to work as normal.
Is this a firewall issue, or something else?
Thanks,

Hi Manish, thanks for this.
Our screen share is not greyed out; it appears to connect but then fails with the above error. Do you think it's the same bug that iscausing these slightly different symptoms?
Thanks,
Brad

Hi Brad,
If no expressway is involved then most likely it is a firewall issue. You can check the ports mentioned for desktop share in the deployment guide and ensure these are opened
