Hi,
I have setup of Meeting place 8.0 Application Server (Express Media Server) and Web Server 8.0
Problem is when Meeting Chairperson (host), who schedules a meeting, can't Mute/ unmute other attendees (Particular Ones) in same meeting (Act as a moderator).
Now, If we provide Attendant privilege to the host, we gets those rights to Mute and Unmute of that meeting As well As all the other meetings running(which is an problem).
Can we have a meeting Chairperson with Mute/ Unmute access (Particular Ones) for only meeting which has been hosted by him.
Please provide some valuable inputs on the same.
Thanks & Regards,
Ashish Bagla

Hi Ashish,
If you have MeetingPlace Audio only solution, from telephone user interface there is no possible way to mute individual participants. You, as a host, can mute only all participants, and then individual participants can unmute themselves if they want to say something.
The only other alternative is to use Conference Manager. However, to be able to use this tool, the user/host has to be either Attendant or System Administrator type of user.
More about Conference Manager you can find here:

I hope this will help.

Hi Ashish,
Host of the meeting, if authenticated properly when joining/starting the meeting and not joining as guest user, should have a privilege to Mute All participants by pressing #81 DTMF sequence. (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/meetingplace/8x/english/quickstart_guides/QSG_attandsch_mtg_with_phone.html#wp41167)
The host cannot Unmute other participants. Other participants can Unmute themselves by pressing #5 DTMF sequence if they want to say something.
The host shouldn't need to have any special privileges to use these feature, and can be of End User type. However, they have to join the meeting as an authenticated user.

Hi Dejan,
Firstly thanks for your inputs ..
Is it possible to mute a particular participant in a meeting by the host of the meeting and not all participants in meeting place 8.0

Hi Ashish,
if we look at the "Attend and Schedule Meetings from Your Phone with Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 8.6" doc
the menu looks the same as on corresponding doc for 8.0 , so it seems that this option is not available even on MP ver 8.6

Hi Ashish,
Manish is correct. This option is not available in any version of MeetingPlace. You do have these options only if integrated with WebEx and performing them in Web interface.

Dear All,
If we provide the attendent access to users, they are able to login in Cisco Conference manager but they can see all meeting schedulded by all other users and can modify/delete the meetings.
Also the #81 option is not available but #8 2 , #8 3 and #5 options are working .
Regards
Amar
