Unity Connection 10.5.2 Office 365 integration

Working on a 365 Hybrid UM setup and not getting connection to the servers.  I've verified the account in 365 doesn't have a mailbox and does have the correct impersonation rights.  I'm using outlook.office365.com for the search domain and using the myaccount@mydomain.onmicrosoft.com for the credentials in the 365 profile but not testing from directly in the UM setup it's failing.  Testing from w/in a user I'm getting a 403 error.  DNS is resolving the hostname correctly when I test from the cli.

Anything I should be looking at to better troubleshoot it?

How does your CUC connect to internet, direct or via proxy?

Likely you are trying to use basic authentication. Per this document that’s not a viable option for new setups.

You seem to be required to be on CUC 12.5.1SU2, or possibly 11.5.1 SU8, to be able to use OAuth 2, that is the only option for new setups to connect with O365 after 13:th October 2020.

Thanks for the link; I'll be sure to read up on that. Is that more on the 365 side though? As in if 365 wasn't setup to use Basic before 10

13.20 you'd have the problem or is that if the UM service hadn't connected before that date? Currently know of at least 1 or 2 10.5 systems that are integrated with 365 and working fine still.

This is all on the O365 side.

If you have used basic authentication before the date it will continue to work until second half of 2021 when Microsoft says that they will turn this off completely. So for any systems that have this working you’ll be fine for the time being, but you’ll have to make a change before this becomes reality.

For any new systems you’ll setting up to connect with O365 you have to use OAuth 2 based authentication.
