HI Is there anyway of using Cisco 8800 series phones to use Spark to Spark calls, without the need for UC, or PDTN connection ?
Use it like an iPhone or computer call to call ?

Best you can do desk phone control with spark client but limited to extremely basic feature set like call/answer/hangup, no advanced features. Outside of that you will need a spark service like C1/C2/C3 with Intelepeer plan or Tata Plan for calling outside or wait for a service called hybrid branch which allow these spark devices to use CUCM trunks but again still needs a spark subscription. If you have UCM of course you could go back to MRA too

Hi Srini,
Thank you for getting back to me, this is correct, basic features is all i want.
I suspect, because i am outside USA/Canada, the features so not work. The service is called Cisco Spark Calling.
"Cisco Spark calling is a cloud-based phone system* available in Canada and the United States of America."
It seems there are license and regulation issues to Cisco providing these services in other countries.
If you know a way around this, without the need for extentions, advanced features that would be great

Yes spark calling assumes coverage in countries listed by Cisco
So the list of countries is limited mostly US and Canada and U.K. Coming soon

Spark hybrid is one option with CCM but spark doesn't support desk phone control of CCM devices till later in the year
Thanks
Srini
