We're using a form element to support an ASR interaction. In the element settings tab we set No Input Timeout to 10s. In the element settings tab under VoiceXML Property we set bargein to false. The audio is 9 seconds in length.
What appears to be happening is the No Input Timer begins at the start of the audio prompt (bargein false) which only leaves the caller 1 second to respond resulting in a No Input Event being thrown.
We are under the impression that the No Input timer should start at the end of the audio play when bargein is false which gives the caller 10 seconds to respond.
Is our understanding correct when the No Input timer should start, and is there some reason bargein is not impacting the No Input timeout behavior? In this scenario the browser alone is in control of manageing the No Input timer, and when it should fire?
We are working with VXML 2.1 with Nuance 10.
Thanks

try removing the VXML property and setting the "Barge In" flag at the Audio Group level on the Audio Tab.

Wow, all of the times through the elements and didn't see that option. Your suggestion was perfect. Thanks !!
