CCX agent/resource issue

aku

Hi everyone,

We have a lab enviroment setup:

1x CUCM System version: 7.1.5.10000-12

2x CCX System version: 8.0.2.10000-41

we did everything by the book,

1) end user ( IPCCX line associated, Group permissions defined, device associated)

2) application user defined in UCM, devices associated to RmCm application user

If we check in CCX administration:

tools->user management->user view

users are visible and have agent capabilities

if we go to:

Subsystems->RmCm->Resources

we have no resources/agents available?

also see the attachments

Did anyone have similar experience?

Regards!

Ales

Assign ICD extensions to the users in CUCM end user configuration.

Hi frzhang!

Thanks for your quick reply,

You probably ment IPCCX extension? we already did that.

Any more ideas?

Hi

Try restarting the 'Desktop Sync' service, or checking the logs for that service.

Hi Aaron!

well, the restart of "Cisco DirSync" didn't quite do the trick.

i captured the "cisco desktop sync service" log, and found multiple errors,

Do these errors explain enything?

"ERROR LRMS2001 The LRM client failed to connect to any service."

"ERROR CACMI2000 LRM Error: Failed to initialize LRM Client."

"ERROR STD2001 Client failed to connect to any service."

"ERROR CADLRM2000 LRMClient could not get the list of LRM Server profiles from LDAP, connection may fail. Reason: "

see the attachment of full desktop log for more info..

Thanks!

mmmm

have you performed the following:

UCCX 8.0 Installation Guide

Step 11

If the call center needs to be operational after you finish installing the first node, then run the Unified CCX Desktop Client Configuration Tool on this node. You can do so by logging in to the the web interface of the Cisco Unified CCX Administration and then choosing Tools > Plugin > Desktop suit > Client Configuration Tool. Let the Unified CCX Desktop Client Configuration Tool run until it stops.

Run it again, and then go to your desktop administrator and do a sync again.

Hi,

After looking trough the logs we decided to sync an LDAP

server to this lab and as a result we finaly have resources in CCX!

It seem that LDAP sync is a must in ccx enviroment.

Thanks everyone, you've been a great help!

Cheers!

Ales

Just for the benefit of anyone reading this thread in future, an LDAP synced CCM setup is certainly NOT a requirement for UCCX.
