Hi all

I have problem with Cisco oamp server(Installed server by ova file)

So full physical memory is 4GB now.

But thesedays oamp server memory usages occupy almost 91~94%

I checked high memory usages and I found msmpmg.exe(Highest usage)

but I don't have any other vaccine in oamp server so I can't stopped it.

- Rest are Tomcat and basic window services, so can't stopped the process.

Anyone who have problem with like this me? or does anyone who know the solution?

In addtion, does anyone who know the effect of increasing oamp server memory from 4GB to 6GB?

Thanks

Hi,
we have seen this problem over the last years and several versions (starting maybe with CVP 11.x).
Only "solution" how to avoid this seems to be a regular reboot, eg when installing latestet Windows Updates monthly. But from time to time a reboot inbetween is necessary.

As the OPS Console has no function for the CVP service itself (VXML, Call Handling), we are fine with that and reboot the server whenever needed.
A proactive monitoring tool might be able to reboot the server by itself after a certain threshold has been reached.
Increrasing the memory will only give you more time but will not solve this problem, I guess.
Anyway i am also interested in a solution or at least root cause for this.

Hi, thanks for reply about the case.

It's not recent but i reboot oamp server in 2023 Sep.

After reboot i saw oamp server memory occupied about 85~90%.

But thesedays oamp server memory occupy 90% again.

So i need a solution to the problem but can't find information in google or anywhere in Cisco.

Cvp version : 12.0

Assuming this is a VM? If so there should be no really issue with increasing the memory on the VM. What usually causes issues for Cisco UC systems is making changes to the size of the hard drive.

There is no harm in increasing the vRAM size for CVP OAMP. Power off the VM and increase the RAM size from 4 GB to 6 or 8 GB. We did multiple customer instances for UCCE ver 11.6 and above.
