Has anyone been successful in setting up a JNDI connection for email in CVP? I have tried following the instructions from the Element specifications guide, but it was unsuccessful. I hate to escalate to a TAC case for something that seems so simple. Does anyone have the detailed steps that I could try in my lab? When I try making the configuration changes that are suggested on the developer forums Tomcat starts failing.
I would be greatful for any help on this.

What do your activity and error logs on the server look like?

I had a similar issue the other day! I was trying to write a custom Java class to send email, and it failed every time even though activation.jar and mail.jar were under Cisco\CVP\VXMLServer\Tomcat\common\lib. It turned out mail.jar was in another place (Cisco\CVP\VXMLServer\Tomcat\webapps\CVP\WEB-INF\lib).
I had to delete it, and restart VXML server in order to make Email Element to work.
