Dear Cisco community,
What is the major difference between the standard SIPREC (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc7866) and NBR (Network Based Recording) that widely used in our Cisco ecosystem? I am reading document and doing my own investigation but also want to get some insights from our community here. I am very familiar with SIPREC but a newbie with Cisco related technologies.
Thanks
Dong

OK, here's an overview of it for some CUBE from 2 months ago. https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/voice/cube/ios-xe/config/ios-xe-book/m_voi-cube-sip-rec-recorder.html?bookSearch=true if you want something more recent.

Thanks bill.king1 for the information! The provided page is helpful but it seems is very old (Updated:July 22, 2014) and some products listed in the page is already retired (e.g. MediaSense). The behaviour described here is somewhat very similar to SIPREC. And when I look further at SIPREC RFC (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc7866) the RFC was drafted on May 2016.
Maybe I can roughly assume Cisco network based recording is a protocol existed before SIPREC and SIPREC later formalize similar mechanism in a more uniformed way?
