Difference in login when Agent name used instead of agent id

Hi All,

We have developed agent desktop based on finesse API. The issue we are facing right now is during login.

We can easily login to the application using Agent ID. But when we use Agent Name to login we get following error:

“Invalid Authorization User Specified”

But when we try to login to finesse default agent desktop then we can login with booth, Agent ID and Agent Name.

As I could not find any difference in API for both therefore request is exactly the same from my application. Instead of agent id I am using agent name, that’s the only difference.

Please suggest what could have been wrong?

Did any one had the same issue?

I believe, it must be something to do with finesse configuration?

We have the same problem. This feature is currently not available on the API, only in the Finesse agent desktop. I have no information when this feature will be available.
