Is this CCX or CCE?
What version are you upgrade from and to?
Is the user a local administrator of that PC?
Is there a firewall, ACL, NAT, or anything restricting communications between that PC and the server?
Is this happening on every PC or just this one?

I think I have seen this happen in a WAN connectivity where there were huge packet drops between the server and agent desktop. is the agent on the LAN where the server is?

can you check and see if you find anything in the logs for CAD software? location : C:\Program Files\Cisco\Desktop\log . you may want to check the one which says agent0001.log after you try to open the CAD.

How about trying to put your UCCX server name in the host file of the PC, then try.
