LRO Offloading no longer required?

I noticed something interesting in the latest Finesse 12.5 ova Readme. Under the notes section, it now says that Disabling LRO is no longer required for ESXi.

5.0 Notes:

This OVA file uses VMXNET3 type for network adapter. Disabling Large Receive Offload (LRO) is not required on ESXi server which hosts Finesse server. The following procedures can be used to check or enable ESXi host LRO settings:

Is this true?  I've been combing over other OVAs and readmes, but I don't see it mentioned anywhere else.  Is this a one off, or can move away from disabling LRO?

Yes, we don’t require LRO to be disabled anymore

Nice!  Is there a document that I can show to our team?  I know it would make our build group happy.

Disable LRO stopped to be a thing with ESXi 6.0 if I remember correctly.
