RecordAgentGreeting VXML Application fails

Hello,

 

I have a weird problem with RecordAgentGreeting VXML Application, i can hear the first wav file (please record your greeting after the beep) and then it through a badfetch.error and exit, i am using the cisco provided VXML Application, anyone faced something like this before, CVP 11.5 , below is the logfile from the activity and error log for the application, i am not able to find the badfetch in the IIS log.

Take a look on the configuration guide I sent you in a private message. Maybe it'll help you to understand if you missed something in your configurations.

Same configuration, no difference.

Yes i Did, the problem is that the script for both ICM and CVP are working, and i can see the activity log on the VXML App, its just after the system play record_greeting.wav from the VXML Application (Confirm record step) the system throws a CVP error with badfetch.

Hi Amer,

 

We experienced the same problem after converting a customers platform from ulaw to alaw. Recording was working fine before the conversion, so codec mismatch was our prime suspect.

After a lot of digging, I came across this in a HCS guide:

Step 6   Open the RecordAgentGreeting application and double-click app.callflow.
Step 7   Go to Record Greeting With Confirm element settings and change the File Type to other (default is wav).
Step 8   Set the MIME type to audio/x-alaw-basic.
Step 9   Set the File extension as wav.
Step 10   Validate, save, and deploy the application.

I'm assuming the default "wav" File Type implies ulaw codec - Changing to alaw as described above resolved the issue for us at least.
