Can someone point me to some documentation on how to add a subscript (?) to get wait time information? I’m looking to have a call hold in Queue for 45 seconds, then transfer to an outside overflow call center. I've been to the docs but nothing like I am trying to do is in there.

You want to use "Get Reporting Statistics" step found under General. Look at the available statistics and you'll find what you need.
