UCCE: Agent login

Guys,

Something I just want to get to the bottom of is this: It is well documented that ucce router needs to know the instrument/device the agent is going to use when loggin in to the agent desktop application. So usually we define device targets/agent targeting rules.

My question is how does ICM know that the extension the agent is attempting to login on is associated to a phone. Eg If I define a range of extensions in ATR( agent targeting rule) and the agent tries to use an extension that is not associated to a valid phone, how does the router know this? Does it query CUCM via the PG for the device/extension association? Is there a database where the device/extension is stored on the router? Is there any logs that I can view to see what happens in real time for this?

This is absolutely great. Thank you. One further question is about supervisor login. Will it be authenticated against AW or AD? Since supervisor are created in AD

Not really, even if the supervisor account is created in AD, when supervisor tries to login to Finesse desktop the authentication is still done with AW and with Agent credentials.

The AD account is useful when supervisor agent tries to access tools like CUIC, Config manager tools etc.

The super access of UCCE web administration (for Agent reskilling) is still authenticated through AW agent creds, wired but true.
