How does one use the answer file generator to

generate license file beforehand? Could you refer me to a document

Hi Rajan,

Yes, you could do an upgrade remotely through ILO or other console. However, you would need to have someone put the CD/DVD media in the drive. If this is VM then it would be done through the VM console.

I just completed the Answer File Generator and wondering what happens now?  I downloaded file as instructed and recieved a Platform Config. xml file.  What do I do with this? does anybody know?

Place the platformConfig.xml file (notice the camel case file name format) on a USB flash drive and during the setup of UCCX 8 insert the flash drive into a USB port on the MCS server when prompted by the setup program.  The setup program will look for the file and use it to answer the remaining setup questions.
