UCCX DB Tables not Containing Any Data?

Matthew Martin

Hello All,

This past Sunday we updated our UCCX servers from:

               8.0.2.11004-12

                         to

               8.0.2.11005-20

So yesterday when we opened for the day, our Wallboard that uses the 2 Tables in "db_cra" were

showing all zeros.

The 2 tables that aren't showing any data other then zeros are --> "RtCSQsSummary" and "RtIcdStatistics".

If I open the database in a Program like RazorSQL I can verify that the tables are empty. Also if I run a Query

from the UCCX CLI I can also see only zeros.

The "Real Time Snapshot Config" contains all the correct settings, which did not change during the Upgrade.

Anybody know what we can do to get this Database to be populated again?

Any thoughts would be great.

Thanks in Advance,

Matt

Hi

That's odd. I've seen this once and disabling/reenabling the 'Data Writing Enable' option fixed it. Otherwise it's pretty reliable.

You could check logs, searching for db_cra won't show much as that db contains the config and historical data for the cluster as well as the realtime snapshot.

Have you tried just rebooting the thing? I know it seems a cop out but since you've just completed an upgrade...

Hi

Go to appadmin/tools/realtime snapshot configuration.

Untick the snapshot writing, update, then tick it again and update/save.

Hey Aaron, thanks for your reply.

I'll give that a try, thanks!

That shouldn't require a reboot after changing the settings or anything like that, should it?

EDIT:

Should I give it a little bit to populate after I change it back? Or does it begin to populate immediatley upon enabling?

Thanks,

Matt

Ok, so I tried that about 20 minutes or so ago, and still no data is going into those 2 tables..?

Can you think of anything else I can try?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt

Do you have HA? Have you checked the tables on the other server? They only update on the current master ...

Hey Aaron, yes it's HA...

Yea, I checked both the Master and Slave's Databases, but both are the same. All zeros...

Are there any logs I can check for errors with RTMT?

The only real System/CCX services I can choose in RTMT are "Cisco Unified CCX Database" and "Cisco Informix Databse Service". Do you know if those will show any errors that may have occured in relation to the Real Time Snapshot data? i.e. the Database containing "db_cra".

Or possibly, do those logs show UCCX writing data to those DataBase(s)?

Thanks Again,

Matt

Hey Aaron,

Yea it's getting weird...

I think a restart is probably the next best thing to do. I was planning on restating tonight after we close.

So hopefully that will do the trick, but I won't know till tomorrow when we reopen.

I'll post back tomorrow after we open and let you know what happens.

Thanks Again,

Matt

Hey Aaron,

Ok so last night I did the reboot and when I got in this morning the Wallboard was finally showing the correct data..!!

Thanks again for all you help with this Aaron, much appreciated!

Thanks Again,

Matt
