UCCX Script Editor windows 10

Hi,

I have UCCX Script Editor 10.5 but it doesn't work on windows 10 .

I have the following error message :

"Failed to load script file; com.cisco.script.ScriptIOException: Failed to load script D:\.....aef nested exception is:

com.cisco.io.StreamCorruptedException: Unable to load expression; ensure all custom classes are available; nested exception is: java.io.StreamCorruptedException

Hi,

As per the CCX compatibility matrix CCX editor with windows 10 is not supported.

To do this, it is necessary to perform the following steps:

1) Right-click the installation file and select ‘Properties’.

2) Click the ‘Compatibility’ tab.

3) Check the box next to ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select ‘Windows 7’ from the drop-down menu.

4) Click ‘Apply’.

5) Run the installation as normal.

Before starting the installation, create a directory C:\Program Files (x86)\wfavvid_1051

And all will be well

Another important piece to keep in mind is to be sure to be logged in as admin. Not just have separate admin credentials, but actually be logged in to windows as an admin.

This particular message seems to be the required Custom Jar Files missing in the UCCX Administration for the script you are trying to open. If your script indeed reference to some Custom JAR files then make sure they do exist in Document Management on UCCX and also make sure they are in Selected section by going to System >> Custom File Configuration. If it is happening with all the scripts that do not reference to these Custom Classes then proceed as suggested by Chakshu to install Editor on  a supported OS.

For installing on Windows 10, have used these instructions many times and never had problems with running the editor once installed.

1) Before starting the installation, create a directory C:\Program Files (x86)\wfavvid_XXXX (editor version)

2) Log into the laptop / PC with adminstrator account

3) Right-click the installation file and select ‘Properties’.

4) Click the ‘Compatibility’ tab.

5) Check the box next to ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select ‘Windows 7’ from the drop-down menu.

6) Click ‘Apply’.

7) Run the installation as administrator.

8) When prompted , change the installation folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\wfavvid_XXXX directory you created earlier.
