Upgrade UCM9.1.2

        Hello,

Iam doing an upgrade from 7.1.5 to 9.1.2, since the system are in production, we build a parallel 7.1 publisher in VM (Linux4, 4G,160GB HDD)and restored the backup from the production system succesfully.  After that i had upload a demo license from cisco licensing site (3 nodes and 500 users).

I had modified the VM template(Linux 5), and started the upgrade installation for 9.1, upgradation reached till post installation. After that it shown an error " Error detected in Post installation-phase,trying to restore the system to the exisiting version".

System reboots back to the 7.1 version.

I doubt system wont upgrade frm 7.1 to 9.0 with a  Evaluation license? Do we require to rehost the licenses (7.1.5) to our new system and then upgrade to version 9.?

tnx

Bobby

Hi Bobby,

I would take a step back and check out the info below;

You are in the perfect postion to leverage the Drive to 9 "Jump" upgrade

from 7.1.5 to 9.1.2 This is a new simplified upgrade process that

is detailed by Amit here;

https://supportforums.cisco.com/community/netpro/collaboration-voice-video/ip-telephony/blog/2013/05/20/drive-to-9

And more specifically in the attachment below from Vijay.

Cheers!

Rob
