UUCX 7 to 8 Upgrade - PUT backup file size question

Team - while trying to start an upgrade from UCCX 7 to UCCX 8 the regular back up size is about 400MB tar file.

After doing the PUT backup the size of the file on the SFTP server is being reported to me as 19MB - did any one guide me on why the sizes are not in proportion? We can double check. The sftp put backup succeeded. Thanks.

It could be that you do not have the latest PUT file. The old one will not backup larger systems. It could also be fine but to verify you can look at this log for PUT to see what it is actually backing up.

Older versions of the upgrade tool can totally silently fail to copy the reporting database, which is the main bulk of the data. The restore appears to work but you will be missing all your historical data, among other things. This exact same thing, the massive difference in file size, happened to a coworker of mine. I'll try to track down a bug ID. In the meantime, do not attempt to proceed without at least talking to TAC.

I asked my coworker and he says the bug ID was CSCtj04571.
