VMware ESXi: Intermittent lost of network connectivity with Windows 2012

Hi all,

Anyone experience the issue above? Windows event viewer log doesn't show any errors/notification and only the application logs shows that its unable to communicate with other servers.

We are already using the correct network adapter (vmxnet3) and based on the ova template.

The only solution at the moment is to reboot the vmware image

Can you check if TCP offloading is disabled?

- Is this the first time you have experienced such an issue? Did you make any changes recently?

- Is this running on a physical or virtual platform? If virtual, can you check for these configurations:

Also can you try this option to Delete the Existing NIC from windows server

 

Upgrade VM Network Adapter From E1000 to VMXNet 3

Note down the MAC ID & IP address

uninstall Adaptor in system device manager  

Remove the NIC from Esxi notes

set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1

Add the new NIC vmxnt3

assign the IP, mask and gw IP, and verify the nic type
