Whisper Coaching

Hi Team,

I am working on Whisper coaching using "updateMonitorType()". Silent monitoring working fine but when we update mode=silent to whisper then call converted into conference. is there any limitation in jabber version we are using "jabber Version 14.0.3.56354 Build 306354" and CUCM version is 12.5.1. please help me to figure out this.

Hello,

You can use silent monitoring and call recording functionality only. Jabber doesn’t support other functionality such as barging or whisper coaching.

Wisper Coaching works only hardware phones with BiB.

I believe Jabber does now support barge in for contact center, like UCCE. Here's from the a recent guide.

 

  • Supervisor Barge-In—Using cBarge, a supervisor can inject themselves into an active call. You must configure network-based media resources and have them available to Jabber to support this feature. This feature works in cBarge mode even when you enable the Built-in-Bridge (BiB) on Jabber.

 

Cisco Jabber soft phone supports Silent Monitoring and Whisper-Coaching of calls.
Parsec's MARS Silent Monitoring & Whisper Coaching supports Cisco Jabber Soft Phone.Please refer below link
