Nexus Supervisor different version

Hi,

I have supervisor spare for nexus 7004 but with different version and i don't have any other chassi to update this spare.

If i change the standby supervisor with the spare one with different version, what will happen ?? The device will copy the correct software to this supervisor and upgrade ?

Any other suggestion ?

Hello @jorge.oliveira ; 

The standby SUP should always copy and run the running image from the active SUP. Once synced with the active SUP, the standby SUP will be running on the same version as the active SUP.

It works the same way for ASR 9000 for example.

You just need to insert the new supervisor, all actions will be taken by active supervisor. The system will sync the running image to new supervisor.
