IR1101 Dual WAN Setup with failover

HI,

For dual WAN Setup do I need to get the expansion module IRM-1100-SPMI or the router is able to support dual WAN configuration ?

Hi Owen2,

 

The base model has one SFP/RJ45 combo port, 4 FE LAN interfaces and one slot for LTE.

You can use these interfaces at the same time for dual WAN.

But you are restricted to the interfaces available, examples:

- LTE + SFP/RJ45 (routed interface) works

- SFP/RJ45 + FE LAN (using SVI) works

 

- Dual LTE or Dual SFP / Routed port does NOT work. 

To use dual LTE uplink or to use two routed interface uplinks you need the  IRM-1100-SPMI expansion module.
