1 VOIP phone not fully connecting random internal calls

Hi,

I have 1 VOIP phone that when certain people call the person internally and the user answers the phone the phone screen shows call as answered but when you listen to the line there is no noise or sound down it at all, like it is dead. Yet the phone works fine with everyone else in company.

I have changed the cables, ports, ports in switch, handset, profile on CUCM v8 and even Ext number now and still the same issue and can't find the cause.

I only have one user with the issue and no one else has the issue..

Can anyone help or suggest possible causes?

I would try resetting phone to factory reset and let it grab latest firmware and ITL file.

  • Unplug the power cable from the phone, and then plug in the cable again. ...
  • Immediately press and hold # and while the Headset, Mute, and Speaker buttons begin to flash in sequence, release #. ...
  • Press 123456789*0# within 60 seconds after the Headset, Mute, and Speaker buttons begin to flash
