Hi guys,
Can someone tell me how to active the headset button by default on the 7841 cisco phone ?
A user wants to have it active all the time.
Thanks in advance,
Alberto

Is this a wired or wireless headset?
If it is wireless, take a look at the field "Wireless Headset Remote Hookswitch Control".

Where, in the deskphone or cucm ?
I already checked in both .
What the user needs is to have the ability to press the headset button and leave it active as you can do with 7965 model.
Thanks,
Alberto

In CUCM, on the phone configuration page. Look up what the field does and see if it fits your needs.

What model headset are you using and what is its connection type? (USB? Analog? Wireless into the aux port?)
Do you have the user pressing the headset button, and then using the softkeys (or headset buttons) to control calls?

Hi Maren,
The model id for the headset is the following.
plantronics CS540/HL10
Also, what I'm trying to do is to active the headset button in the deskphone and stay active even if a call is not active. for example in the cisco 7965, you press the headset button and gets active even there is not a call.
but for this phone, cisco 7841, you press it, just when a call gets in.
if a call is not running, then the headset button does not get active.
Thanks in advace,
Alberto
Thanks for your help.
