7915 Expansion Module

Hi,

Our CUCM version: 6.1.1.3000-2.

7915 is not displayed under device default settings. I was told to upload firmware for the same. Am trying to upload the below latest files from OS administration-software install/upgrade page.

cmterm-7915.1-0-4.cop.sgn

cmterm-7942_7962-sccp.9-2-3.cop.sgn

Am unable to do the operation: below is the status message

No valid upgrade options were found

Any suggestion pls.

Thanks & Regards,

M.Mohamed Raffiudeen...

Well, do you mean you dont see the phone type 7915 while you add a new phone ?

Usually in this case, a device enabler file ( QED ) will be published on CCO but I dont see it there on 7915 download page. If above is the case, I guess you need to get the device enabler from TAC.

Your CUCM version very much supports 7915. Datasheet

Hi,

Thanks for the reply,

7915 is not available under device default settings,

Raffi,

I suggest you reach out to TAC. As there is no device enabler available on CCO for 7915, they might provide you an ES ( or QED itself ) for enabling it on CUCM.

I dont see any other way than this.

Sorry mate !!

Hi Raffi,

Just to add a note to the good tips from GP (+5 GP )

It looks like this Device Pack adds support for the 7915 in CUCM 6.1(1)

cmterm-devicepack-6_1_1_3117-3_readme.html

http://www.cisco.com/web/software/282074299/22217/cmterm-devicepack-6_1_1_3117-3_readme.html

When a device is not available via the Add New/Device Defaults you'll always need to

add the whole Device Package rather than the individual firmware.

Cheers!

Rob

Hi Rob & GP,

Thanks mates.

I will try to upload the mentioned device package.

Thanks & Regards,
