7945 - can't enable Headset Hookswitch Control on Phone

Hi

Need some help....  I've enabled the Headset Hookswitch Control on CUCM for a cisco ip phone 7945.  it says it is enabled and it successfully reboots the phone.  But when I check the phone Device Configuration - Media Configuarion  it shows disabled.  Trying to setup a plantronics cs350 witn a cisco ip 7945.

Are you asking about  "Wireless Headset Hookswitch Control"?

When you say "Device configuration - media configuration" what page are you exactly referring to?

Hi Kynan,

So, from CUCM admin  Device>Phone you set the Wireless Headset Hookswitch

Control >Enabled>Save>Apply

Then when you check via the phone it still shows disabled?

If so, can you please provide the CUCM and 7945 Firmware versions

I am having the exact same issue. Never saw an answer for this.

Fimware version:

SCCP45.9-2-3s

System version: 8.6.2.22900-9

Ideas?

Hi there,

Did you check out this bug that seems to apply to 7945's with

the firmware you are running;

Reset of phone makes the plantronics headset not to work

The issue we are having is that even though you set the phone for

OK. I fixed it.

1. Set the phone for

2. Factory Reset the phone

When the phone came back from factory reset it now shows under Device Configuration>Media configuration>Headset Hookswitch Control- Enabled

So looks like a Factory Reset does the trick.
