I have a 7962 that fails to ring when a new call is presented. The line appearance is all set correctly in CUCM (10.5.2)
Looking at the phone logs, I see "Ringer- Connect fails: ffffffff" at call setup time.
Are these two things related? If so, any suggestions as to a fix/place to look?

Question - is the call actually presented to the phone, just the ringtone doesn't play? Or is the call not presented to the phone at all?

The call is presented: The phone just doesn't ring.

Hi,
On DN page, there is a parameter 'Ring Setting (Phone Idle)' and 'Ring Setting (Phone Active)' which controls whether DN to ring, silent, beep etc. Can you please cross verify the value set for that parameter on respective DN....

Set to "System Default" (As are most of the rest of the phones on our system)

And if the system default under Service Parameter is set to 'Ring' and there is only one phone which is not ringing... doesn't seems configuration issue.

I guess you have already performed a firmware upgrade as well as factory reset? If no, may be its some kind of firmware glitch?
