Hi!
I would like to ask how do I know the different lines in different SIP servers to register?
/tftp_root/SEP010203040506.cnf.xml :
---
<callManagerGroup>
<name>Default</name>
<tftpDefault>true</tftpDefault>
<members>
<member priority="0">
<callManager>
<name>10.0.0.1</name>
<description>10.0.0.1</description>
<ports>
<ethernetPhonePort>2000</ethernetPhonePort>
<sipPort>5060</sipPort>
<securedSipPort>5061</securedSipPort>
<mgcpPorts>
<listen>2427</listen>
<keepAlive>2428</keepAlive>
</mgcpPorts>
</ports>
<processNodeName>10.0.0.1</processNodeName>
</callManager>
</member>
</members>
</callManagerGroup>
.
.
.
<sipProxies>
<backupProxy>USECALLMANAGER</backupProxy>
<backupProxyPort>5060</backupProxyPort>
<emergencyProxy>USECALLMANAGER</emergencyProxy>
<emergencyProxyPort>5060</emergencyProxyPort>
<outboundProxy>USECALLMANAGER</outboundProxy>
<outboundProxyPort>5060</outboundProxyPort>
<registerWithProxy>true</registerWithProxy>
</sipProxies>
In the sipLines session only "USECALLMANAGER" given IP address is not accepted:
<sipLines>
<line button="1" lineIndex="1">
<featureID>9</featureID>
<featureLabel>Office 10 (1237)</featureLabel>
<proxy>USECALLMANAGER</proxy>
<port>5060</port>
...
<line button="2" lineIndex="2">
<featureID>9</featureID>
<featureLabel>Another Office 14</featureLabel>
<proxy>USECALLMANAGER</proxy> <= but this is another SIP (asterisk) server with another IP
<port>5060</port>
Thank's!

Cisco does not support or document use of the phones with third party PBX. You can try that on sites like voip-info.org

Thanks for your response!
I would rather ask, why can not I specify a separate SIPproxy IP address for the SIPline's?
What happens when the telephone (sip)lines must be registered to another different CallManager's?
A cheaper device (like the Linksys SPAxxx) is not a problem. Each Siplines (Ext1..4) can i insert separate SIP proxy IP addresses.
Thank you!

As above, Cisco makes these telephone for CM and CME, not for any other use.

Hi Paolo,
OK, let's say I am using Cisco CM or CME. I have two Cisco CM running at two different locations. Am I able to use both Cisco CM at once (so the phone is able to register to both whether I am using SCCP or SIP firmware) or the only way to have a remote extension from the second CM is to use a trunk between the two CM and forward my calls through the trunk?
Thanks,
Frank

First of all, normally most Cisco phones uses the SCCP protocol that is superior to SIP in terms of features and ease of administration. This protcol always register to a single system.
Then you would have the two CM systems connected by a so called inter-cluster trunk, that would avoid the complication an unpracticality of having a phone registerd to two systems.
