Hi guys,
I try to set up a video call between 2 7985 phones over a SIP trunk. The SIP trunk is between 2 CMEs, one is Vers. 4.1 and the other one 8.6.
Audio works but I get no video.
If I do a video call on the LAN it works. The problem is somehow with the SIP trunk or the negotiations of the codecs.
On the 4.1 CME there is no video-codec option under the ephone.
Has anyone had this issue before?
Thanks.

Hi Stephan,
I could see an internal bug regarding similar call scenario, please ensure that the IOS on the CME is 15.1(.10)T / 15.1(0.1)PI12 or higher. Alternately you can try using an h323 trunk as it is known to work using h323 without any issues.
You will need the following configuration on CME for h323
voice service voip h323
call start slow
Let us know if it helps.

Hi Manish,
i've tried but I've got a strange error.
Jan 23 19:33:04.095: ephone-5[3]:s2s is not set - hence not video capable
do you know what it means?
do you know which video codec the 7985 uses by default? or it doesn't matter becasue it's negotiated during initial invite?
does cme 4.1 support H.264? it runs on a 2600, pretty old.

Hi Stephan,
Could you please verify that you have configured service phone videoCapability 1' under telephony-service.
It is important that both incoming and outgoing dial-peer are configured with the video codec. There are two ways to achieve this:
1- using a voice class codec, for example:
voice class codec 1
codec preference 1 g711alaw
codec preference 2 g711ulaw
video codec h2xx
video codec mpeg4
2- using 'codec transparent' on the dial-peers, this enables codec capabilities to be passed transparently between endpoints
The second way is the easiest and safest way as this will use the capabilities of the endpoints.
