I have a number that when it is dialed the full correct number shows up on the screen of the phone but then immediately goes away and the phone is back to the generic screen ready to dial another call. I think this is a translation pattern issue but can't track it down. Anyone have any quick ideas?

I am assuming this is CUCM deployment, couple of things to check/questions:
1. Do you have a matching route pattern pointing to proper route list on CUCM
2. Have you tried running the call through Dialed Number Analyzer?
3. Does the call make it to the gateway? What type of GW protocol do you use, is it H323/SIP/MGCP? What is the circuit type the call is suppose to go out of, is it PRI, SIP trunk, POTS line, etc? depending on the protocol and trunk type different debug command will be used to see if the call hits the GW.

Hi darrengragg,
Did you try running the Dialed Number Analyzer to see what is getting matched for the 877 pattern? Give that a shot and it should give you a better picture. Else pull the detailed CUCM SDI and SDL traces from all nodes in the cluster which covers one such call. Mention the calling, called party numbers along with the timestamp of the test call.
HTH.

Harmit.
